ADITC is 35 years old this month

Sep 28, 2017

35 years is a great and quite uncommon age for a very small not-for-profit organisation. ADITC was incorporated in 1982 (and in fact started life in 1978) and has been in continuous operation ever since.

We’re very proud of our achievement. You may be proud of our achievement too.

You may be one of the

  • over 1700 drillers who’ve successfully done waterwell drilling licence examinations through ADITC since 1992
  • over 5500 offsiders, drillers, senior drillers, supervisors and drilling managers who’ve gained national qualifications since 1999 through ADITC
  • 1593 individual drillers who’ve successfully done distance learning DICAT courses in Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere in the world
  • 1816 successful participants in Screening and gravel packing and Mud Techniques and Tests, and Cement Grouting courses, which continue to be a base for waterwell drilling construction expertise.

The drilling industry’s strength comes from the expertise of the people in it, and we’re proud to say how we’ve helped our industry to get that expertise. If you know what you’re doing in drilling, you’re probably connected with us.

We recently published the 5th edition of the Drilling Manual which is the industry’s trusted and authoritative reference.  (Order one from us!)

In 1982, our logo was ADITCLogoTransparent   and now NEW ADITC LOGO COLOR

Some things haven’t changed at all for us. We were established in 1982 as a not-for-profit benevolent body for the Australian Drilling Industry, and we retain the same integrity and approach which puts the industry first.
