ADITC (Australian Drilling Industry Training Committee )
Registered Training Organisation 2200
Australian Drilling Industry Training Committee Ltd is a national industry body for the drilling industry.
We have a formal Registered Training Organisation division, ADITC, in continuous operation since March 2000.
This means we are authorised to provide training, assessment and award of national Australian qualifications from the Australian Qualifications Framework. The structure called competency based training works by demonstrating that people are competent against agreed national industry standards. We are the body which (on years of industry advice and consultation) developed the first and second sets of industry standards against which qualifications are awarded.
All of these services can commence at any time.
We provide services to all sectors of the drilling industry, at all levels of employment from new starters to managers of drilling businesses.
We provide:
For people new to the drilling industry:
* industry training for people wanting to join the drilling industry, by distance learning
* Advice about qualifications
For personnel already in the drilling industry:
* drilling industry training, by distance learning
* formal recognition and assessment for industry personnel who already have skills and want to turn them into a national qualification
* formal recognition of existing skills for senior personnel, by auditing a portfolio of evidence to prove past and current work.
* specialised short face-to-face industry skills courses
For companies:
* resources and advice that companies can use to base their own in-house training on, followed by formal recognition of skills for the award of qualifications
* advice about qualifications, and how they interact with company training
* mapping of in-company training to national standards, at induction or other levels of work
* advice on sources of funding for qualifications or training
For assessors (independent or employed in-company):
* assessment-related resources
* professional support, advice and networks
Our qualifications audit process is rigorous, and our training relates to nationally recognised training. As an organisation, and as part of our industry, ADITC must meet an agreed set of national standards, and make sure each assessment meets them.
